This Monkey Business
now. the theory is: if you take an infinite number of monkeys and have an infinite anount of time, they will eventually write the entire works of shakespear perfectly.
this strikes me as a waste of either monkeys and/or time.
only one monkey will *eventually* put out the entire work of (yadayada).
an infinite number of monkeys will create (you know what) as soon as you set them to it.
also. we already HAVE the complete works of shakespear. why not turn these monkeys to more worthwhile matters? to create the code for Chapter 2 of GW.
even better, use a super computer to emulate a billion times a billion monkeys every second. cheaper. (no food).
however we should use the monkeys as a test sample.
i will be accepting donations of Monkeys and/or supercomputers from now on.
we must test this!
(also because of the nature of infinity there will be an infinite number of perfect copies of GW chapter 2. anyone who donates monkeys and/or a supercomputer will get a free copy.)
also there will be an infinate number of every game ever to exist and every game that will ever exist. as well as every possible game that COULD exist.
if i happen to reach my target of an infinite number of monkeys all investors will be re-embursed with an infinate number of every single game.
help me, help you.

You can never waste monkeys. Anything you apply a monkey to is awesome. In fact, the more monkeys you apply to something, the better it gets.

whoever came up with that theory must've been a Shakespear-crazed lunatic in an asylum in the middle of the Brazillian Rainforest. A monkey could never copy and great work because monkies are stupid, and thats that.

I've got a better idea... let's put the monkey to work writting my lesson plans for the rest of my career, then I'll have more time to play GW and post in off-topic forums.

Storm Crow, I am greatly alarmed and offended by your unabashed anti-monkey sentiments. I understand that you were probably just brought up that way, however, I must request for you not to disparage this noble creature further.

No, I think you will find that science, math, literature, religion, or pretty much any institution of thinking has proven without a doubt that monkeys kick ass.

there's no guarantee they'll type it - what if they all typed the same thing, like, "djlsjaoidkgljds"?

But the original statement was that "the monkeys will type shakespeare." So in order to disprove that, I just have to provide 1 case where that's not true.

if you have an infinite number of monkeys they will type every possible permutation of every possible character in every possible language. that is the nature of infinity. they HAVE TO produce the works of shakespeare (or GW 2) that is randomness when applied to infinity.
this has been proved true (on a smaller scale)
humanity (around about 2-3 hundred Billion individuals over the course of a few thousand years) has succeded in creating the entire works of shakespeare. (the individual to finally succeed was called shakespeare) while humanity has not plumbed the depth of every single possible permutation on every possible letter we have still come up with the works of shakespeare. and fairly soon we will come up with the code for Chapter 2 of GW.
i simply want to get the code before the rest of humanity does. Monkeys are the way forward!

Let's just enslave all monkeys to do our work so that we can reap the benefits.
